Interview with a Codie!

Ten years on and few British developers from the days of CD-i are still knocking around. With a few exceptions, most notably Codemasters. Affectionately known as the codies they've seen through the rise and fall of many video game formats. From Clive Sinclairs Spectrum, Atari, Amiga, Sega, Nintendo, PC the list of supported formats goes on forever. A bastion of British game development and publishing it's hardly surprising they dabbled in Philips CD-i as well.
Although as we've witnessed with many CD-i conversions, resources are limited and like 'Digital Gorillas' it came down to a few good developers to convert the Micro Machines phenomena to CD. Ashely Hogg was at the forefront of this project so we spent a little time chatting about his work besides the love note that became something of a CD-i mystery!
